We’re delighted (and proud) to tell you that our BSI ISO 9001 accreditation has been renewed (and renewed with flying colours!)
BSI ISO 9001 is the world’s most recognised quality management system standard, governed by the International Organisation for Standardization (ISO).
It involves an official inspection from the British Standards Institution (BSI) to ensure that all of our methods and processes are followed correctly as per our official manual. They will ask, for example, to see random jobs and then follow our paper trail to make sure we are working to their guidelines and regulations.
It’s a very comprehensive monitoring system; they not only conduct an office assessment they also accompany our Engineers on a live job and ensure we are servicing as per the BAFE regulations for Fire Extinguishers. They also supervised our Engineer on site to make sure all service procedures are followed to BSI 9001 accreditation.
If BSI find any omissions/contraventions you can be issued with either a minor or major conformance, depending on the severity of the issue.
As you can imagine, it’s quite a nerve wracking assessment (even when you know you have done absolutely everything to the letter like we do at Saracen).
The BSI scored us 100% accuracy on our systems and procedure so we officially retain our BSI ISO 9001 accreditation.
We are super proud of our Director, Service Manager and our Engineers and it was fantastic to have the level, and quality, of our workmanship recognised.
We are also in the process of completing our BAFE accreditation for Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting for service and Installations so keep watching this space…
